The PowerAmpster III is the new generation of Tangent’s compact power amplifier – designed to deliver genuine hi-fi performance in a discreet and elegant format. Building on the success of the PowerAmpster II, it fits seamlessly into the new Ampster III series in both design, size, and functionality.
With its solid build and high-efficiency amplifier stage, the PowerAmpster III delivers 2 x 100 W in stereo or 1 x 200 W in bridge mode, making it ideal for both music and home cinema. It drives even demanding loudspeakers with authority, control, and precision – while maintaining Tangent’s signature Scandinavian design aesthetic.
Flexible connectivity
The PowerAmpster III features both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, allowing for easy integration into any hi-fi setup. It pairs perfectly with the Tangent PreAmp III or other preamplifiers when you want to add more power and dynamics to your system.
With a built-in 12V trigger input, the PowerAmpster III can automatically turn on and off together with your connected preamplifier – providing effortless operation and perfect system synergy.
Smart and efficient operation
The PowerAmpster III includes an automatic Auto On/Off function that detects incoming signals and powers the amplifier accordingly. When no signal is detected, it automatically switches to standby after five minutes. The integrated power supply supports both 100–120 V and 220–240 V, making it suitable for global use.
New packaging
The PowerAmpster III comes in new packaging where almost all plastic has been replaced with cardboard. This provides a cleaner, sturdier, and more practical unboxing experience.
